CoWIN Portal – Registration Process

1. Search CoWIN in your browser or click on the link https://www.cowin.gov.in/home.
2. Click on the “Register / Sign-in yourself” tab.

3. Sign-in for vaccination using OTP.

• Enter your mobile number and click Get OTP.
• Enter the 6-digit OTP sent to your registered mobile number, then click “Verify and Proceed”.

*Note – You can register 4 members using one mobile number.

4. Click “Register Member”

• Enter photo ID proof.  
• Enter the photo ID number
• Enter name (as in photo ID)
• Select gender
• Enter the year of birth (as in photo ID in YYYY format)
• Then click “ADD”.

5. “Individual registered successfully”

• Click add more to add a total of 4 individuals linked to this mobile number. 

6. Click on the “Schedule Now” Section to book an appointment for vaccination will open 

• Search by PIN code.
• Enter your PIN code. Click search.
• Search by District.
• Select State and District. Click search.
• The date-wise slots of the vaccination center and the number of vacancies available for the day will be indicated for each vaccination center.

7. Confirmation of appointment.

• You can download the appointment slip on your device.
• The appointment details are also be shared as an SMS on your registered mobile number.

8. Vaccination completed.

• You get vaccinated at the selected vaccination center on the scheduled date.
• After 28 days you can schedule the appointment for the 2nd dose through the same portal. 

*Note.

• Currently, vaccination is free at Government hospitals and charged at INR 250 in Private hospitals for citizens.
• Citizens can choose the vaccination center as per their choice of vaccine being administered.
• The 2nd dose of COVAXIN should be in the interval of 4 to 6 weeks from the date of the 1st dose.
•  For COVISHIELD the recommended interval is 4 to 8 weeks while an interval of 6 to 8 weeks gives an enhanced protection.
